CALL ME A BREAKFAST FOOD
How being called a breakfast food can be a good thing:
Several years ago, a consultant on a new business pitch called me an omelet. Whereas I initially didn’t know how to respond to being called a breakfast food, he went on to explain that I had almost equal time and success on the brand strategy/client management and media sides of the business. We won the business so I took it as a compliment.
I have subsequently come to embrace the omelet concept as I believe it has been a key to my success as a leader of successful, profitable marketing and advertising firms and departments. I have the scope of experience to bring a unique perspective to any business situation. I am equally adept in traditional, digital, and direct communication channels and the planning strategies and performance metrics that are attendant to each.
I also think it’s a good thing as if I could only eat one food for the rest of my life it would be eggs – scrambled, sunny side up, poached, omelets, huevos rancheros, breakfast casseroles … you name and I’m there. (Click here to read Gordon's Professional Bio)
