New York, NY -- (June 29, 2009) The winners of the 30th Annual Telly Awards have been announced. With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and around the world, this year's anniversary has been one of the most competitive and successful in the long history of the Telly Awards. Founded in 1979, the Telly Award is the premiere award honoring outstanding TV commercials, the finest film and video productions, and groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies and production companies. Designed by the same firm that makes the Oscar® and Emmy®, the Telly statuette weighs more than 4.5 pounds.

The Russo Group was awarded two Telly Awards in 2009. A Telly Award in Outstanding Video Production for "The Natchez Experience" which is an eight minute video created for the Natchez, MS Convention and Visitors Bureau. Russo won a Telly Award in Outstanding Copywriting for www.visitnatchez.org, the official website of the Natchez Convention and Visitors Bureau.

As Michael Russo, Creative Director, explains, "Our work is designed to change the conversation for our clients, using consumer insight to create an emotional connection that drives behavioral changes. To win two Telly Awards for that work is even more exciting." Recognized as an outstanding contributor in his field, Michael Russo serves on the Silver Telly Council which judges the Telly Awards.

This is the third year in a row that The Russo Group has won Telly Awards. Previous awards include:

"Welcome to Acadia Parish" in 2007 for the Acadia Parish Tourism Center
"Fiber Dreams" in 2007 for the Fiber Initiative
"Highways of Hope" in 2008 for the United Way

The Russo Group is a strategic branding agency. Russo believes in the promise behind the brand and that changing the conversation motivates consumer behavior.
