Prior to starting the Dallas office of the Russo Group as Brand Developer, Gordon ran his own consultancy where he worked with clients and agencies, providing senior-level strategic planning and account management services on the brand and media sides of the business.  Previously Gordon was Vice President of Media & Strategic Planning at Slingshot, and was Partner/Client Services Director at Numantra where he led all account service and media functions as well as client strategy.

Prior to co-founding Numantra, originally known as TaylorLaw Advertising, Gordon served as General Manager of Bozell Kamstra/Austin, part of the Bozell Group of agencies that specialized in technology and business-to-business.  Gordon joined Bozell Kamstra following a six-year stint at Hadeler Sullivan & Law (HS&L), named by Adweek magazine as “the fastest growing agency in the Southwest two years in a row”.  While at HS&L, Gordon published a book titled How To Be A Hero, a treatise on an innovative approach to media planning and buying.

Prior to HS&L, Gordon served as Senior Vice President/Director of Client Services at Keller Crescent Company where for almost nine years he led client services.  Gordon has also worked for Backer Spielvogel and Grey Advertising and on the client side at Pizza Inn after beginning his advertising journey at Moroch & Associates.

Throughout Gordon’s 30-plus year career he has been fortunate to work with clients such as McDonald’s, Fujitsu, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Taco Bell, Sprint, Mr. Rooter, McAfee, Chuck E. Cheese’s, American Heart Association, Overhead Door, Greyhound, Subway, Neiman Marcus and Suzuki Motorcycles among numerous others.

Gordon is a guest lecturer at the Temerlin Advertising Institute at Southern Methodist University.  He is also an active volunteer at St. Rita Catholic School and at Austin Street Shelter.  Gordon was a member of the board of directors of the Dallas All Sports Association for seven years, serving as president in 2002.  He also served on the Dallas Advertising League board of directors for ten years, serving as president of the organization from 1993-1994.  Gordon was a five-year member of the advisory council at North Texas University, where he served as an adjunct instructor in 1999.

Gordon, a graduate of Oklahoma State University, is married to Lauren Law, who also happens to be in the advertising business.  They have two great kids, Savannah and Nick.  Savannah is about to complete her second year in college while Nick, age 8, is already proving to be a better golfer than his dad.
